Antonio Guerrero,
I began my learning path with Ayahuasca and the healing plants in
the Amazon. I used to spend some of the time living with the Ayahuasca
Masters in their homes (some were located within indigenous
communities). I started to learn by doing daily activities such as
walking through the forest with the Ayahuasca Masters, picking plants
to prepare medicines, cooking Ayahuasca, and purging. As if I were a
kid again, I learned again how to use my senses. Through the Ayahuasca,
the daily life experiences and a lot of patience, my Masters taught me
about the deep and vast wisdom of nature, about the great importance of
being connected with the environment, and with the present. Even though
they know so much about the Amazon through their traditional knowledge
and their many life experiences, the medicines and the Master plants,
one of their greatest teachings is how “invisible” they can be through
their humble way of being and sharing. They never look proud of all
what they know. As they say “We grow like trees, holding onto the
teachings with the roots of our traditions, while connecting with the
light of understanding, growing and purging”. Thanks to Don Ignacio
Duri Palomeque, Don Alonso Del Rio (Popoquatl), Don Lucio Tayakope
(Oambaiorokeri), Don Roberto Masia Sehue (Shaejame), Don Edilberto
Vargas (Master Bechin), Don Edinson Panduro for your teachings and
inspiration during the ceremony of life.
I
came to the Amazon rainforest to do conservation of the endangered
Amazonian Eagles in 1995. The eagle’s presence brought me to live in
different Indigenous Communities, where I had the great opportunity to
learn from my masters. It was amazing when understanding how everything
in nature is connected and so well related in spite of all their
differences. When living with nature and the Amazonian traditions,
Ayahuasca is always close. I continue learning through Ayahuasca,
healing myself, opening my consciousness to the mystery and wisdom of
the rainforest to clarify my visions. Ayahuasca helps me to create
integral projects that allow the promotion of the welfare between
society and the Amazon environment.
The Sowewankeri Amazon Healing Centre staffs are local people who
live as a family group. We offer the experience of living the way we
live here in the Amazon, such as being able to interact with us during
the daily work activities, and also with our neighbours in the local
community where the Centre is located.
The Sowewankeri Family evolves with each new life experience that we
are privileged to be a part of. Every person who comes and shares their
own change with us; every effort given to the healing process at each
of the ceremonies, is our motivation to keep on walking in health and
peace. More information - http://ayahuascacircle.com/
