We will also inquire to why most spiritual traditions try to control Sexuality & some even expect their followers to be celibate. What is “Tantra” and how do we practice it? Discussion with:

EILEEN DELEHANTY PEARKES writes regularly for the award-winning magazine, ascent. Her writing reflects her interest in landscape, cultural history, spirituality and the human imagination. Eileen is the author of The Geography of Memory (2002), co-author of The Inner Green (2005), and a contributor to River of Memory (2006).

 She received her BA from Stanford University and her MA from the University of British Columbia. Eileen lives in southeastern British Columbia and is the mother of two teenaged sons.

 Karen Rempel is a Certified Sexological Bodyworker. A somatic, erotic educator, she assists individuals, couples, and groups to deepen their experience of embodiment. Karen is a trained sexologist whose certification is approved by the State of California’s Board of Education. Practicing in Vancouver, she offers experiential learning opportunities that consciously access profound ecstatic and erotic states. Her Sexological Bodywork classes and sessions include a variety of educational modalities such as breathwork, conscious movement, touch, erotic massage, pelvic release bodywork, and masturbation coaching.

Karen believes that sexual energy is life energy, and that when people’s sexual energy is freed up they feel more alive and happy, can think more clearly and make better decisions, and also can connect with their spiritual nature more deeply.
