Dear community.
You may know that not only is Monday, December 21 the actual day of the winter solstice this year, it is also the peak day of a highly unusual planetary alignment. Saturn and Jupiter have not been this close in 400 years and not this close and visible at night in 800 years.
Some astrologers and other visionaries are saying that this conjunction of energies is ushering in a planetary vibrational shift. As well, those sensitive to such energies know that the veil between the Spirit and material worlds is thinnest on the night of the winter solstice.
For that reason, we would like to invite you to join us for a “ceremony-lite” and sharing session in a group Zoom meeting. We’ll also treat it as an informal version of our occasional “cannabis-friendly” ceremonies. Cannabis is the sacrament of peace in this context.
Our beloved and brilliant colleagues Chris Bache, author of the stunning LSD and the Mind of the Universe, and Dr. Bruce Damer will join us to share some inspirational words. We’ve also invited all the presenters from the 2020 Spirit Plant Medicine Conference so who knows what other surprises are in store.
We’ll invite anyone who cares to to have a puff together, hopefully while holding a prayer and vision in your heart. After a short meditation we’ll open up the Zoom room for people to share their inspirational thoughts.
The event will go from 6 pm PST to approximately 7:30. Tickets are by donation with no minimum.
Dr. Bruce Damer is an Astrobiologist collaborating with Prof. David Deamer in the Department of Biomolecular Engineering, UC Santa Cruz on the question of the origin of life. His training is in computer science and he has built an extensive archive of computing artifacts and history chronicling the rise of the digital world in the last 60 years. He is also a follower of the evolutionary edge of culture as a wanderer on the plant medicine path and curates archives of figures such as Timothy Leary and Terence McKenna.
