“My name is Theda Phoenix, I am an intuitive singer, songwriter and performer from Vancouver. In 1986 I moved to Echo Bay, a small, island community in the Broughton Archipelago on the West Coast of British Columbia. Living on a float house with no electricity and only boat transport gave me the opportunity to experience the natural world closely, spending time on the water with the orca and humpback whales, dolphins, seals and eagles. Without the typical urban distractions I was able to attune deeply to the rhythms of coastal life. I witnessed the cycles of big tides with the full moon and the return of the salmon to the rivers every summer. This experience informed in me, a recognition of the innate spiritual intelligence flowing through this planet and all of life. It has inspired me to sing spontaneously, as a celebration of the essential living spirit flowing through us all.”
