A recent study showed that most Canadians feel a special bond with their companion animals, to the effect of trusting them more than they do other people. What does this mean for humanity? Is there a way to apply lessons learned from our connection with animals back into our own human community?

Shiri Joshua, former psychotherapist specializing in the human-animal bond and founder of S.O.U.L. Academy: School of Compassion (www.soulacademy.ca) will share insights from her work with animals and their people, as well as related concepts taught by A Course in Miracles, such as forgiveness, compassion, oneness, service; and how through our connection to animals we may come closer to one another and to God.

The animals are gentle teachers of living in the stillness of a given moment, practicing Unconditional Love, and offering Selfless Service. In their purity of simply be-ing they bring us closer to a sense of shared Oneness with all life.

The Course in Miracles teaches that “the veil that has been drawn across reality is
lifted” when we enter into a state of perfect communication with the source of all creation (or God). At this state of unity within we step into the magnitude that we are born to manifest as expression of God’s light. ALL that is required of us is to ask the right questions, listen to guidance, and then act upon it!

Join us for a talk followed by a discussion and sharing of stories on what animals teach us on concepts taught by A Course in Miracles, such as forgiveness, compassion, oneness, service; and how through our connection to animals we may come closer to one another and to God.
