See: http://www.carnavaldelsol.ca

Carnaval Del Sol is the biggest Latin festival in the Pacific Northwest. It will be 2 days of live music, art, dance, sports, and poetry in celebration of Latin American Culture. For 2018, Carnaval del Sol will bring together more than 450+ artists from different Latin American countries.

Carnaval del Sol, recreates the atmosphere of a vibrant city plaza in Latin America. The arts showcased during this event include live musical bands, Native Canadian and Latin American visual art, traditional folk dances from different countries, arts and crafts displays, dancing and culinary lessons (1 international chef, 10 local chefs) and a Latin American inspired fashion show.

Carnaval del Sol is presented for the enjoyment of Latinos and the local community. These activities are developed to engage and connect the various communities in British Columbia. Carnaval del Sol is the finale to the 10 day long Latin American Week. The shared objective of Carnaval del Sol and Latin American Week is to act as a much-needed bridge between Vancouver’s rapidly growing Latin American communities and other communities. Arts and culture are universal languages that unite people and allow cities to grow and thrive.

Her four pillars are the heart of the organization she launched, Latincouver – supporting communities, empowering people, promoting culture, and connecting business.
Originally from Colombia, she holds a business and marketing degree from the University of Kentucky and an MBA in International Business from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France. Prior to her arrival in Canada, she lived in USA, Kentucky for 10 years and in Grenoble France for 3 years where she considered her-self a truly Latina-French woman.  Although she embraces, respects and loves to be in truly multicultural environment like Vancouver, BC, she is very passionate in promoting her Latin American culture and building new business opportunities.

About Latincouver

Founded in 2009, Latincouver is a non-profit organization that brings together both Latin Americans and Latin enthusiasts living in B.C. This vast network can be compared to the public square or, as it is common said in Latin America, la plaza. In the past, the plaza acted as the social and economic hub of a city and as the heart of the community, playing an important role in bringing people together. Latincouver is the modern-day plaza at which professional connections are made, and entrepreneurs get the help they need for their businesses to grow and succeed. For more information, visit Latincouver.ca.
