Join Tasha Simms as she takes a conscious exploration on the topic of anger with Alistair Moes, the founder of Moose Anger Management.Anger isn’t a good or bad thing, but as with any emotion, we can do something good or bad with it. IIn this episode we will discuss the many things that exist behind most people’s anger, like: pain, fear, shame, loss, sadness and anxiety. We will also cover a number of tools that people can use with their intense emotional experiences so that they become more intentional rather than reactive.
Despite the negative experiences that many people have with anger, we believe that anger can also be constructive and lead to insight.

About Moose anger Management
Moose Anger Management was established by Alistair Moes, Director of Moose Anger Management, who has worked with thousands of men and women for over 20 years. The objective was to provide counselling that focused on constructive approaches to expressing healthy anger by addressing both current circumstances and events, and looking at the history attached to current behaviour. Over the last 10+ years, Alistair has also co-facilitated the Healing Anger groups for women. Working together with Alejandra Proaño, MA (Psy), MA (Lit), M.Sc, ACC, RCC, they have rewritten the text used in the course to incorporate issues that are especially relevant to women’s anger.

About Alistair
Alistair’s approach focuses on the gifts and potential of each person. In this manner “the good” that is present in an individual is attended to, as are the challenges that face each person. He also has extensive experience working with what is behind a person’s anger. The pain, sadness, hurt, fear, anxiety, shame and often, trauma, are what leads someone to react disproportionately to events. It is only when this is examined, with compassion and a deep respect, that a person can alter their response to the triggers in their life, and learn to relate to the emotional reactions that have led them astray. Alistair has been humbled and inspired by the many people who have taken up the courage to take on this type of investigation.
Alistair regularly presents workshops to diverse groups from police, to teachers, CRA auditors, to unions or therapists for professional development.
Alistair also provides counselling for parents with an extensive focus on Dads. He has developed and facilitated parenting groups for Dads and co-facilitated Parenting Together groups for couples. During one of his many interviews on CKNW, Alistair spoke about the importance of being aware of the memories parents create with their children.
