Shalu Sharma is Kirtan Vancouver’s Co-Media and Sponsorship Coordinator, with fellow volunteer Bhavesh Chauhan. This year they wanted to emphasize healthy living at Kirtan Vancouver, finding community organizations that support this (such as Organic Lives, New World Natural Foods, Ethical Deal, Banyen Books, and Gluntenull) and featuring free Yoga in the Park and a Green Shopping Bazaar. Kirtan is an important part of this healthy lifestyle choice for Shalu, and is a central part of her upbringing.

Shalu is a long time supporter of community giving, volunteering for organizations such as Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, and currently works in the health care field focusing on pediatric palliative care.

Anirudh Kansal is the Director of Internal Affairs for Kirtan Vancouver. Kirtan, transcendental sound vibration, has been a key part of his life, and he has been practicing this form of yoga since a very young age.

Apart from his community involvement, he is a young and dynamic business manager. This year Anirudh hopes that Kirtan Vancouver will reach a larger number of people so that it may positively impact their lives, the way it did for him.
