Caryn Seniscal DO(MP), RMT,
received a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice, DO(MP), in 2004 from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. The title of Caryn’s thesis is, “A comparison of selected osteopathic treatment and relaxation exercises for patients with headaches.” An article based on the thesis research, co-authored by Caryn, was published in September 2006 in the internationally renowned Headache Journal. Caryn is an active member of the Society for the Promotion of Manual Practice Osteopathy in British Columbia.

In her previous profession, Caryn had been a singer for over 20 years. During this time, she decided to explore her other passions involving health and medicine.

Caryn became a Registered Massage Therapist in 1988, graduating from the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto, Ontario. She practiced as a massage therapist for 16 years. Caryn taught anatomy and treatment techniques at Sutherland-Chan and acted as a Student Clinic Supervisor from 1988-92.

Continuing education has always a priority for Caryn in her quest to become a more effective therapist helping people heal. She became intrigued with the philosophy and techniques of osteopathy and decided to begin studies in 1996.

In 2006, Caryn moved to Vancouver to be closer to nature and begin a new manual osteopathic practice. She co-founded the Vancouver Osteopathy Centre in Kitsilano with business partner, Deirdre Byrne in 2008.

Caryn is passionate about personal growth and healing and meditates daily. She is interested in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Areas of special interest would include: digestive issues, TMJ (Jaw) problems, neck and head pain and treating musicians.
