In this episode of CLR, I speak with Zamir Dhanji, yoga teacher and an active member of Abundance Community Farm, a social experiment for growing organic food and creating a conscious living lifestyle community, that also hosts intentional gatherings.

About Abundance Farm

The Abundance Farm community emerged from a group of like minded people from the transformational dance scene in Vancouver . There is no formal structure to this community; however, we are bonded by core values, such as artistic expressionco-creation, and environmental stewardship.

Abundance Community Farm is located on 40-acres of land in Agassiz, BC, 1.5 hours east of Vancouver. With five permanent residents living on the farm, and a network of Community Agriculture members who live in Vancouver and farm-share one weekend a month to grow food, connect to nature, build community and create culture, the farm fosters a culture that is rooted in authentic and grounded human connection, greatly improving our Quality of Life. By sharing resources and replacing consumerism with meaningful connections and culture we reduce our Ecological Footprint and pave the way to true sustainability.

Our connections evolve based on a kinship tree of family and friends inviting family and friends. We have collective houses as cultural hubs in the city, and we create music festivals as intentional gatherings to deepen our connection with self, community, and nature. Abundance Community Farm was born out of a need in this community to have land for growing food and creating intentional gatherings.

100 city dwellers use a scalable Community Agriculture model, that combines farm and city living to create a sustainable future, creating a culture and model of a conscious living lifestyle.
