Duane O’Kane – Founder and President of Clearmind International Institute Inc.

Duane O’Kane is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, workshop facilitator, teacher and a dynamic and entertaining public speaker. He has a lengthy background in mental health and social services, with 18 years in the field before forming Clearmind in 1990.

Duane discovered A Course in Miraclesin 1990 while mired in a deep depression triggered by a personal crisis in relationship, which nothing in his professional repertoire could adequately address. It opened him to a revolutionary way of thinking and being that allows him to tap into the joy available in the present rather than reproduce pain from the past. Duane transformed his pain into an inspired pathway to love; a path where he now leads thousands worldwide. It is Duane’s passion and creativity that started Clearmind and carried it through to its current evolution with Catherine. more info http://clearmind.com

Topic: Change: What does it Really Mean? How do we legitimately change? What does it mean to heal, and grow up? We all operate from a limited view of reality, learned from not only our childhood experience but also from all of those family members that preceded us. For the most part, we aren’t conscious of the family learned rules we operate from, and so when we try to change, we typically try changes all founded on the same set of rules. Einstein has said that we cannot solve a problem at the same level of consciousness that created it, and so we find ourselves circling around the same stuck place despite our best efforts. The more we try to change, the more we stay the same.

Change requires a shift in consciousness, which can only be accomplished by opening up our relationship systems. Change requires individual effort, but paradoxically only happens in relationships, in connection to others. When one genuinely shifts, others in our family system naturally follow.

Join Duane and Catherine as they give an overview of the theory behind our workshops, and taught in our PRAC for Life program. Change: What does it Really Mean?
