When middle age hit, it wasn’t pretty. Both Kimberly and her husband were overweight and their health was deteriorating. Popping pills and tolerating mediocre health just wasn’t for them. Kimberly surfed the internet to find natural health solutions. The goal?  Find ways to reverse, not simply manage disease. Kimberly Hartke and her husband found true health when they rejected the dietary advice spoon fed by industry on an unsuspecting public. Bucking the food system proves to be fun and tasty, too! By adding grass-fed meats, wild caught fish and gulp! fat and cholesterol rich foods to their diet, the couple lost 50 lbs between them.

Combined with other lifestyle changes, they reversed serious health problems, including pre-diabetes, hypertension and knee joint pain. Now, she shares her journey of discovery with others through speaking gigs, her blog and soon to be launched podcast.

Kimberly now blogs about holistic health and green living at hartkeisonline.com.  Over 450,00 visitors from 200 countries have discovered her blog which features real food recipes, small farm stories, food news, opinion editorials and guest blogs by some of the leading voices for sustainable farming and alternative health. Kimberly is a founding blogger with RealFoodMedia.com, which boasts a staggering 1,149,000 unique visitors monthly.

Today, Kimberly Hartke is the Publicist for the Weston A. Price Foundation, a leading nutrition education non-profit which promotes sustainable agriculture and traditional foods.
