Kate Sutherland – Kate Sutherland is a community and organizational development consultant. She specializes in custom design and facilitation of game-changing processes for organizations, programs and communities. She is also the author of Make Light Work: 10 Tools for Inner Knowing, a new book dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and personal sustainability of change agents

Speaking Topic at The Great Turning Un-Conference:
*Consciousness*
“Intention, Intuition, and Integrity: A Session on Living Life Consciously” – For many situations and decisions, the best answers come from within. Join Kate for an introduction to “inner work,” ways of working based on intuition, perception, intention and consciousness. We’ll explore simple tools for accessing the insights and inner wisdom that enable us to work on the Great Turning in personally sustainable ways.

Nickolas Grabovac: Nickolas Grabovac has been a passionate student of permaculture for over 15 years, formally receiving his Permaculture Design Certificate in the Spring of 2009.  In 2009, he founded the Vancouver Permaculture Meetup Group, which now has almost 400 members, to facilitate the local sharing of permaculture skills and knowledge.  Most recently, he has designed the school garden for Trafalgar Elementary School and is designing a garden for Maple Grove Elementary School.  Nickolas has degrees in Ecology, Botany and Computer Science from the University of British Columbia.

Speaking Topic at The Great Turning Un-Conference:
*Innovation*
“Permaculture: Design for Sustainability” – Permaculture is a system of design for sustainability, underpinned by the ethics of earth care, people care and the reinvestment of surplus.  In this talk, we will explore some of the key design directives within permaculture and show how they can be applied in a (sub)urban setting to improve the sustainability and resilience of our communities.

Karl PerrinSpeaking Topic at The Great Turning Un-Conference:
*Action*
“Pilgrimage to Burns Bog” – May 1 will be the fourth Pilgrimage to Burns Bog. We have declared it a sacred site. We clean it, dam its drainage ditches, fight the truckin’ freeway on it, study it…we love it.  This year we will bless it with Bach and seek its blessing.  “In wildness is the preservation of the world.” H.D.Thoreau

Zamir – Organizer/Producer of “The Quickening”
